Won't chip, crack or break when dropped, like original Nissan counterparts. Want to buy NOS? Sure why not, but can you find a selection of ALL the knobs you need that won't cost you a small fortune? The only knobs that are currently for sale as new items on Ebay that we have seen are the Flasher and S/Brake. There may be a few others that make brief appearances from time to time. So how come only these few knobs are still hanging around as new? Simply, because these are the knobs that are "low use" on the car. As the "high use" knobs, Light, Choke, Throttle etc., are pretty much dried up and no longer around, this would indicate, that the originals have a poor life span, have broken in use, and as a result, Nissan's surplus inventory was used up years ago. This is why we decided to offer a new line of knobs. You really have to look closely to be able to tell the difference. We have replicated every detail,smooth surface no lathe machine marks, color of the letters and symbols, letter font, aluminum knurled rear insert (see photo in part#1727), every parting line and contour even some of the casting flaws the originals had are present on our repros. All knobs feature the rear aluminum knurled insert. Having a original knob and saying so may be your thing, but that would mean you would have to find all the other original parts for your car, like the shift label stickers, trunk weatherstrip, battery frames etc. and these days it's just too hard to locate. Besides the improvements made here assure you of a long lasting affordable part especially because most of these knobs are unobtainable. Knobs	Partnumber: 1867 Datsun roadster 67 1/2 Reproduction Knob Sets Virtually indistinguishable from the factory counterparts,(Look at the FF Flasher to see the original shape of the lettering). We replicated nearly every detail including exact shape, contour, font size, color, right down to a specially mixed paint for the lettering. This set includes the elusive ash tray knob. This set is priced per knob and the prices can be found in this section. See part#1001 for manufacturing details. The second set are made of machined aluminum and are chemically blackened. The shape, size and color are not exact to original, but these beautifully machined parts have a retro feel and will go great with our wood dash face plate and VDO or Auto Meter gauges.
